Wild Turkey and Corn Chowder

This chowder combines tender wild turkey with sweet corn in a creamy, flavorful broth. A Midwest favorite, it’s a celebration of local ingredients and hearty flavors, perfect for fall or winter evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked wild turkey, shredded
  • 2 cups corn kernels (garden-grown)
  • 1 large potato, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced (garden-grown)
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp thyme (garden-grown)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onion and potato until softened, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the potato is tender.
  3. Stir in corn, turkey, cream, and thyme. Cook for another 10 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
