Venison Chili with Sweet Cornbread

This hearty venison chili is slow-cooked with bold spices and garden vegetables, served with a side of sweet cornbread for the perfect comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground venison
  • 1 medium onion, diced (garden-grown)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (garden-grown)
  • 2 cups tomatoes, diced (garden-grown)
  • 1 cup kidney beans
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked cornbread, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown ground venison over medium heat. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté onions and garlic in the same pot until softened. Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Return venison to the pot and simmer for 40-50 minutes. Serve hot with sweet cornbread on the side.
