Trout Cakes with Lemon Dill Sauce

These crispy trout cakes are mixed with fresh herbs and served with a zesty lemon dill sauce. A versatile dish that’s great as an appetizer or main course.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked trout, flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (garden-grown)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (garden-grown)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (garden-grown)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flaked trout, breadcrumbs, egg, dill, parsley, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry trout cakes for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve with a dollop of lemon dill sauce (mix yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and salt).
