Trout Almondine

This classic French-inspired dish features pan-fried trout with a buttery almond sauce, perfect for an elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 trout fillets
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (garden-grown)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season trout with salt and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook trout for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining butter and almonds to the skillet. Cook until almonds are golden, then stir in lemon juice and parsley.
  4. Drizzle the sauce over the trout fillets and serve immediately.
