This smoked venison jerky is marinated in a savory blend of spices and slow-smoked to perfection, making it the ideal snack for outdoor adventures or road trips.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs venison, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Add venison slices to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat a smoker to 160°F. Arrange venison slices on smoker racks and smoke for 4-6 hours until dry but pliable.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
