Ingredients
- 4 duck legs
- 1 cup apple cider (garden or locally grown)
- 1 onion, chopped (garden or locally grown)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (garden or locally grown)
- 1 tsp rosemary, chopped (garden or locally grown)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the duck legs with salt, black pepper, and cinnamon.
- Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Sear the duck legs on all sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until softened. Add apple cider and rosemary, stirring to deglaze the pan.
- Return the duck legs to the pot, cover, and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3 hours, basting occasionally, until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
- Serve with roasted apples or a side of wild rice.
