Pan-Seared Bass with Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 bass fillets
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (garden or locally grown)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the bass fillets dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bass fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  3. Flip the fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in parsley and lemon slices. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the bass fillets before serving.
