Ingredients
- 4 catfish fillets
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp dill, chopped (garden or locally grown)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (garden or locally grown)
- 1 tsp capers, chopped
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour buttermilk into another shallow dish. Dip each catfish fillet into the buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture.

- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, and capers to make the tartar sauce.
