Lobster mac and cheese is a luxurious twist on a classic comfort food, blending tender lobster meat with creamy cheese sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (garden or locally grown)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Gruyere cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add macaroni and lobster meat to the cheese sauce, stirring to combine. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
