Herbed Duck and Wild Rice Bake

This hearty duck and wild rice bake combines tender duck, nutty wild rice, and fresh herbs for a comforting dish inspired by the Northeast and Plains regions.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked duck, shredded
- 1 cup wild rice, cooked
- 1/2 cup diced onion (garden or locally grown)
- 1/2 cup diced celery (garden or locally grown)
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (garden or locally grown)
- 1 cup chicken or duck stock
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon thyme (garden or locally grown)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Sauté onion, celery, and mushrooms in a skillet until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded duck, cooked wild rice, sautéed vegetables, thyme, stock, and cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, until heated through and slightly crispy on top.
- Serve warm as a main dish.
