Grilled Elk Burgers with Caramelized Onions

Juicy elk burgers are topped with sweet caramelized onions for a hearty and flavorful twist on a classic dish. Perfect for backyard barbecues or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground elk meat
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced (garden-grown)
  • Burger buns and toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground elk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. Grill patties over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked to desired doneness.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  4. Assemble burgers with buns, patties, caramelized onions, and desired toppings. Serve hot.
