These bite-sized dove poppers are stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños, wrapped in crispy bacon, and fried to perfection. A simple and flavorful appetizer that’s perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 8 dove breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 4 jalapeños, halved and seeded (garden-grown)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Season dove breasts with salt and pepper. Spread cream cheese onto each jalapeño half and top with a dove breast.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño in bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry poppers until bacon is crispy and the dove is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve warm as an appetizer.
