Crispy Catfish Nuggets with Spicy Remoulade

These crispy catfish nuggets are coated in a seasoned cornmeal crust and paired with a spicy remoulade sauce for dipping. A Southern classic with a kick.

Ingredients
- 1 lb catfish fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Coat catfish pieces in the mixture, shaking off excess.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry catfish nuggets for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- For the remoulade, mix mayonnaise, hot sauce, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Serve with catfish nuggets.
